Located just 47 miles east of Eugene, Oregon on 46 beautiful acres in the McKenzie River Valley, the USBA is a dream fulfilled. From its inception in 1997; to today as an internationally recognized top end basketball training ground, the mission continues to unfold.

Over the years, the USBA has built a reputation as a premier basketball training site serving Oregon, the surrounding states and countries from around the world. The organization’s excellence is based on years of developing innovative teaching concepts that have become the benchmark for basketball educational programs. Our advisory board, past and present, is a who’s-who of basketball royalty; John Wooden, Dale Brown, Pete Newell, Darrell Imhoff, Jerry Lucas, Bruce O’Neil, Terry Dischinger.

Today the USBA is recognized around the world as a premier provider of basketball education and services. By utilizing Bruce O’Neil’s existing relationships with the world’s top governing basketball bodies, current and former NCAA and NBA players and coaches, the USBA has built a platform to launch into many basketball related areas that could drive significant growth for the company.

Yao Ming in 1999 at age 18 came to the USBA to get NBA level training to improve agility, strength and skills. Yao Ming went on to revolutionize Chinese basketball.

Matt O’Neil

Matt O’Neil is the son of USBA founder Bruce O’Neil. Matt is the operator of USBA Tours. The USBA is a basketball facility/camp in Oregon that has trained thousands of overseas athletes.
Matt has worked alongside his father Bruce for the last 25 years and rubbed elbows with some of the greatest players and coaches of all time such as Wilt Chamberlain, Rick Barry and Yao Ming. Coach John Wooden of UCLA was a personal friend of Bruce O’Neil and his family. Bruce O’Neil was was the youngest D-1 coach in the history of college basketball at age 27 at University of Hawaii. Bruce and his family directed the USBA camp for 25 years. Bruce was known as ‘Big Father’ in the Chinese basketball world because of the close relationships he had developed with players and families. Bruce passed away in 2020; Matt O’Neil is looking to continue forward with the relationships and quality basketball training that his father had developed.

Mikal Duilio

Mikal Duilio founded the world’s largest adult basketball league in 1994 (still in existence with 4,000 basketball games that will be played in 2023).
Ten years into the adult basketball business, Mikal Duilio diversified into minor league professional basketball. Duilio formed the International Basketball League; this league included teams from the USA, Canada, Japan and China (the two Asian teams played a full 20-game schedule with all of the games played as away games in the USA). Mikal has 30years experience in sports; Duilio puts effort into quality operations and risk prevention. Duilio is also a highly skilled communicator; Duilio was a guest speaker at the Princeton University Sports Symposium. Mikal Duilio will work alongside Matt O’Neil in managing the tours.
